Kids say the MOST embarrassing things...I mean the "darnedest" things.

So Andrew has this big campaign kick off for work at the Energy Solutions Arena...is that a mouthful or what? Anyhow, it was for their new free Jazz checking (it is awesome....essentially you get paid for every win that they make and as they advance through the playoffs). We were able to eat this yummy dinner and the kids got to go trick-or-treating and shoot hoops on the court. Later in the evening the adults listened to this guy talk about handling change and from what I heard it sounded good but at the very beginning the babies needed to be changed and by the time that was done I realized that it was my turn to go to the bathroom. I ended up taking Emma with me for a number of reasons. (a- the babies were not happy and Andrew couldn't hold them and chase after Emma, b- we have started potty training her and she does really good but doesn't always remember to tell us she needs to go and c- even if Andrew could handle it I wouldn't wish that on him. He had been working that whole time we were there.)
We go and I do my business (No, for those of you that know me and my numbering system I am not going to share ALL the details). We walk into to this quiet room were everyone is intently listening to the speaker and Emma shouts, "My Mommy went potty on the toilet!!!" It is an accomplishment when you are between the ages of 2-4 or over 70 but honestly I was totally embarrassed. So I just said "Yes, I did" when everyone turned to look at this amazing woman who finally learned to use the potty.
If you feel up to it leave your own funny story in the comments so that we can all get a laugh or a smile today.

Gehrig the Little Funny Man...Warning this does contain potty humor.

So for those of you who didn't know...we just got back from Disneyland. Mom and Pops Sproul took our family, Andrew's brother Jeff and his wife Lexi, and their Uncle Kent. So we had a good sized group and it was a lot of fun. Every time we do it we go through Priceline. We have never been burned "naming our own price". This last time we stayed at the Anaheim Marriot Suites for $49/night. It essentially was a one bedroom suite. So the kids slept on the pull out mattress in the living room and we had the king sized bed to ourselves. Granted we weren't all alone because the babies shared our room, but it did seem a little more like home. Also we had a fridge to put all of our drinks and medicine in (doesn't that make us sound old?). We were up on the 11th floor facing Disneyland and every night when the fireworks would go off we would just open the curtains and be able to lay down in bed and watch....the kids thought this was awesome.
So now to the funny part. Each time we went to the park we would ride the shuttle and so this particular time Gehrig is telling this joke that Satchel read in one of his chapter books.
Gehrig: Why did Tigger stick his head in the toilet?
Everyone else: I don't know. Why?
Gehrig: Because he was looking for Pooh.
(Polite smiles and a little bit of laughing around the bus.)
Afterward Andrew and he are kind of joking around and then Andrew says: Why did Gehrig stick his head in the toilet?
Then my little quick-witted son says: Because he is looking for Dad.
(LOTS of laughs all over the bus.)
I thought it was so funny that he saw that opening and took it. I hope you had a laugh too.

Colbie Caillat

So I don't even remember entering but My 99.5 called earlier this week and told me that I had won concert tickets to her show this Friday. A couple hours later they called and told me that they scheduled a "jam session" before the show and if I got there early I could go to that and meet her!!! Isn't that awesome? I loved her first album and am really enjoying Breakthrough. I am totally going to be that annoying fan that has to ask for a picture so be prepared to see it here. Am I a geek or what?

Gehrig...

So, I am trying really hard to figure out what to do to make Gehrig behave at church. Nothing serious. Really he is just bored and goofs off, but also needs to learn to be respectful. We have tried many things (unsuccessfully). Including: time outs, pulling weeds (my favorite), yelling (I know that isn't the best --- but I am being honest), etc. So finally this past Sunday I told him that I wasn't going to be at church to make sure he behaved (the babies and Emma were sick) and that if I heard from his teacher that he was naughty I was going to take his Nintendo DS away. Fast forward to after church. I asked him how church was and he said that he was good. Sometimes he isn't completely honest so I told him I was going to call his teacher to make sure. I get her on the phone and she kind of laughed a bit when I told her why I was calling. Apparently as their class started he was chosen to say the prayer. This is what he said:
"Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to be a good boy so that I can go home and get my DS back. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." LOL
I guess none of the other kids knew what in the world was going on because they didn't say "amen". Side note, it did work. He was REALLY good. I think I have a winner. :D

My New Scrapbooking Blog...

I am getting into digiscrapping and I wanted a blog to show off my new layouts and share freebies and products I have found. Andrew just isn't into talking about Scrapbooking for more than just a minute or two. Go figure right? :)

So, take a look and leave me some love. www.girlgonedigital.blogspot.com

My luck has changed!!!!

So essentially I had AWESOME luck before I married Andrew (I had won all sorts of stuff...money, music, concert tickets, etc.). Then the Sproul luck just kind of rubbed off on me. :) Or I should say that I was so lucky to snag Andrew it took all the rest of the luck I had, right? Well, anyhow I posted about a contest that I entered and I ended up WINNING! Isn't that AWESOME!?! So I have to post pictures of what I have chosen. Be sure and go to Kelley Howe's Etsy Store too while you are at it. :)
