Snow Day!

Okay...for sure they are two boys
Our next step is picking names. I hate referring to them as "the babies". I know I am only a little more than half way for twins but I like to have names early. I don't know how people wait until their born or after to decide.
Also she told us that they are both weighing in at 11oz. each which is normal for a single pregnancy but large for twins....I guess maybe I won't need any preemie clothes. Andrew told me not to count my chickens quite yet but I think that they will be fine when they are born.

First Sleepover…
That afternoon my friend Jessica called and asked if the boys could sleep over. Her two sons are the same age as Satchel and Gehrig. As soon as Gehrig woke up from his nap I told him the exciting news and he spent the time till Satchel came home from school peeking out the front window waiting as patiently as a 5-year old can to tell his brother about the sleepover.
From the moment Satchel got home it was all about how much time was left until they could leave…and that wasn’t me wondering…it was them. :) We got out sleeping bags and loaded their backpacks with clothes, stuffed animals, and treats. Well, that only took a couple of minutes so we were then left to wait for a while.
When it was finally time they ran outside and I had to yell after them to be good and that I loved them…to this day I am not sure they actually heard me with all the commotion going on. Anyhow, when they came back the next morning they talked about how much fun it was and what they did. Thanks Jessica!

My Quirks....
#1 - The smell of butter or any substitute makes me dry heave. We will just leave it there...I don't think you need the play by play.
#2 - I like my garments folded a certain way...which poor Andrew has yet adapted to after ALMOST 9 YEARS....I guess we really can't change the men in our life. :)
#3 - I DO NOT clean toilets. (I should specify that I do not clean the boy's toilet. I figure if they aren't going to make sure it ends up where it belongs I will not be the one wiping it up.)
#4 - I don't think floors are really clean unless you scrub them with a brush on your hands and knees...hence why my floors are so dirty. :)
#5 - Meat tends to gross me out (no hamburgers, most chicken, hot dogs, etc.)...especially if it is fragrant....again the pregnancy thing.
#6 - Last of all the quirk that Andrew always teases me about....I am ALWAYS thinking about food and what sounds good. Sometimes I know that I can't even have it because it is say 11PM but can't a girl talk about it? (Secret desire - that really isn't so secret because I have told a few people - I can't wait for it to snow because lately I have REALLY been craving snow...I know that is gross and who knows what is in it but if you see me in my yard on a snowy day look the other way. :) )

Chocolate Bars....
Plan B began by calling family. Satchel calls my mom and was so professional it was funny ("Hi Grandma. This is Satchel. I am selling chocolate bars for my school. Would you like to buy some?...Oh how much? They are only a dollar......You can buy as many as you want I have a lot.") Needless to say, Andrew and I were laughing. Who knew he was such a salesman and only 6.
That isn't even the funniest part. After he talks to her I got on the phone to make sure she understood what was going on and she did. She then asked what Gehrig wanted for his birthday since it is next week. I asked Gehrig and what does Satchel shout out..."He wants a candy bar!" I guess he takes after his Scentsational-Scentsy-Selling-Momma. :)

Happy Birthday Aunt Breezy!!!
(Me & Bree with what we affectionately call our "Jazz Hands".)Satchel's First Day of School
We Miss Our Cousins....
A couple of weeks ago my Aunt Tina and her family came in town. The kids LOVED having someone to play with. The fact that Trevor would play almost anything with them was a big plus. Misa and Asia were great at keeping Emma busy and it was fun just to hang out. After they left the boys kept asking when we would see them again. I guess we will just have to save up for a trip out there. Oh, and it was nice to see Tina and Ed too. (The parents always get forgotten don't they?)

What in the world have you been doing with your life?
1. I MUST learn how to cook (and not from a box or cook book)...my poor husband.
2. I will learn to play at least one instrument...even if it is just singing on key for once.
3. I will actually grow a garden (next year since it is kind of late- AGH! I am already procrastinating) and NOT kill them.
4. I will graduate with my Bachelors...some day...in something. (Maybe I should have said: "I will decide what my major is. :) )
5. I will go on a mission with my husband for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
6. I will conquer my fear of needle and thread and make something that I am really proud of and not just tired of unpicking...
Okay, now it is your turn. What do you want to learn or do?

Satchel and the Giant Spider Bite (Caution: Not for the faint at heart)
He had complained that he had a bug bite. No big deal, we have all been getting them lately. Then yesterday at lunch he sat down and started crying saying that his bug bite hurt really bad and that it was on his bottom. So I look and behold it is the size of a quarter and black. Needless to say I immediately called the doctor and got him in. We (the doctor and I) are thinking he was bit by a Brown Recluse and the bite was black because the venom kills the surrounding tissue. He was put on antibiotics and now we are just watching to see if anything changes for the worst.
So, funny story....I was talking to a couple of friends (Stephanie and Keli) and I had jokingly mentioned that I was thinking about posting a picture of his injury on my blog. Both didn't think it was too bad, and I was a little surprised. Don't worry. I didn't post anything...I didn't want to scar you for life...I will save it for the scrapbook page (yes, I am just kidding). Anyhow, the funny part is at the end of both conversations I mention that it was on his "BUM" again and they finally figured out that I was not talking about his "THUMB". What a shock they would have gotten when they looked up his picture to see how bad it had gotten. :)

Come out, come out, wherever you are!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Mill Creek Canyon
We got the opportunity a couple of days ago to go to Mill Creek Canyon with my in-laws. It was fun. Drew got to dunk the boys head in the river and I got to take pictures for my blog...see how we belong together. He does the naughty stuff and I take a picture of it. :) Other Pictures:
Pops - Gehrig took this picture.
Grandma Sproul and Emma
Gehrig with "Antlers" (Satchel is in this everyone-has-to-have-bunny-ears phase and Gehrig was having none of it. I thought it was funny though because Satchel couldn't content himself with just one set...oh no, it had to be two.)

Well, I am officially old....
Camping....
Me, being the good mom I am, packed poorly. It is so hot where we live that I didn't even think that it would be cold in the mountains. You would think that I had never camped before! In the morning we all kind of lingered in our sleeping bags - in part because of my poor packing skills. Finally we got out and made pancakes on our new stove...you might notice that my pancakes are burnt...I was still trying to figure out what the correct temp was on that thing. Anyhow, we hung out for a little bit and then went to the lake. They had canoes and everything but we decided just to walk around for a bit and then came home (the flip-flops I was wearing weren't best for hiking...).
It really was beautiful and fun to hang out with friends. We are glad we were able to go.
(The lake by where we camped. Doesn't it look beautiful?)
(Another friend of our family - Jason and his girls fishing... and yet another thing we didn't think to pack.)
Bowling is finally over...can I say that I am happy????
(Satchel getting a strike.)
(See that blur...that is Gehrig running with the ball.)
(Emma - trying to get out of her stroller....she was rather good about that..being in her stroller I mean.)
