Pictures (Warning: There is one of me in all my glory...continue at your own risk.)

As it gets closer (or doesn't - depending on my perspective) I am trying to look for the positive whenever I can...I really am. :) For instance, I had a doctor's appointment last night. I went in and waited for almost an hour to be seen for maybe 5 minutes. I anticipated her checking to see if I was dilated or not but they said that I was scheduled a day early for her to be able to do that and would have to wait until next week. Out of the whole thing though I got a really good picture of William who we have never been able to capture because he is always head down and covering his face. So, I thought I would post his picture and one that I got of Murphy at the end of February to see if you guys think that they will look alike. It seems like none of my kids really do.

Also, I had Gehrig take a picture of me last week. I have been waiting for a good hair day and decided that if I waited any longer it would be too late. So, no supermodel photo shoot here just a 5 year old sitting on the kitchen counter so that it was at least some what in the right angle. At least he had fun. :)

So...they are never going to come out. :)

I went into the doctor last night. My doctor was out of town so I saw one of her partners and I just have to say how nice he was. If I saw a man for all things "down there" I would definitely see this guy. Anyhow, I did a Non-Stress Test and afterwards the usual ultrasound. He was just "so impressed" with how well my body is handling twins. William (Baby A) is up to 5 lbs. and Murphy (Baby B) is 5 lbs. 6 oz. There is plenty of fluid for them both and I am not even close to thinning out or anything...That last part I was a little disappointed about. Then he says that he thinks I will go full term and that they are so comfortable in there that we will probably have to make them leave. I think at this point he sensed my disappointment and quickly added that I could still be induced around 38 weeks. So that is everything in a nutshell. I have 4 weeks, 3 days, and however many hours until the 21st of April....unless something awesome happens and they are a little earlier.

The latest with the babies...

I just went in for my 32 week appointment. All is well. The boys are still measuring big (4 lbs. 13 oz. each). She said that everything is looking great and that she doesn't anticipate them coming early or having any complications. With that being said I was sure to ask when I would be having these babies. :) I turn 38 weeks on a Monday (which is her day off) so I will be induced on April 21st if they don't come sooner....lets hope they come sooner because if I make it that long and they keep growing like they are they will be around 8 lbs. each. Ouch.

Stretch marks…

Please only continue if you are comfortable with the above mentioned topic. I will not be showing pictures or describing it in depth…most of all just venting. :)

So I am officially 31 weeks (and counting if you must know). Things are getting pretty tight in my big round belly. It has actually gotten to the point where I don’t go to the store anymore really because just walking through it and I can’t breathe. Not to worry though that I am not getting the required oxygen because I called the doctor and they say that is perfectly normal…it still sounds “not normal” to me but they figure that the babies are just taking up the room that was meant for my lungs and not to be concerned.

That isn’t really why I decided to do this post though….back to the subject. So far I have accepted that stretch marks a part of life (especially with my genes and this many kids). It hasn’t gotten too bad. They have reared their ugly head a time or two but nothing too serious. I have been trying to be good and keep myself hydrated and what do I find this morning? I wake up with 4 new stretch marks. FOUR! Couldn’t they give me some time to adjust? No. I guess it is just good that I don’t plan on wearing any revealing clothes or even a bathing suit this year that doesn’t resemble a scuba diving suit. I am really trying to be patient but if it gets to point that it appears that I have had open heart surgery or “scars” on my neck I am going to get upset and have to do something. :)
